"In April 2011 my horse was diagnosed with a dermatitis condition called rain scald. It is itchy, raw and hair loss occurs and is very contagious.She responded well to antibiotics and a anti fungal shampoo. The problem the shampoo stung her and she became difficult to handle. In May she developed more dermatitis on her back. More shampooing with good results. A third bout happened. I certainly did not enjoy treating her and she became very wary of everything I did with her.
